Studio wkshp
A studio workshop for early career artists and recent graduates. These workshops are lead by guest and visiting artists who work in the Opera industry.
This project is proudly supported by Opera Lovers WA and Zenith Music.
Registration
Participation and Observer registration is now OPEN.
Please note there are only FOUR places available for participants. We want to make sure we create a safe space for the singers in this workshop and will read through every registration to make sure all applicants are eligible. Please refer to 'Who can apply?' in the section below.
If you are eligible, after you have filled out this form, you will be sent an email asking for your CV and workshop repertoire. Once we have received these, you will receive your confirmation email. Apply early!
We have waived registration costs to allow for more people to attend and see what this series is about. There will be an opportunity to make a donation to Bloomhouse Projects on the day.
Next Studio wkshp: 12th October 2024 @ 1:30PM - 4:00PM

"We’re Paull and Thom – and we want to get to know you. We're all about understanding who you are as a person, where you're at as a singer, and how these worlds combine.
Craving clarity or a creative reset? We're here for it. Need help navigating a tricky translation or refining a character choice? We've got your back. When things hit a roadblock, we're on a mission to uncover what's up and work with you to fine-tune it. And if it's something outside of our wheelhouse, we have an incredible network that can point you in the right direction.
Ultimately, you're the star of the show. Our goal is simply to make you the best version of yourself.”

What happens in the wkshp?
Participants will offer our workshop leaders 2 arias and decide which one to work on. Each singer has 30 mins in the space. Topics covered include but are not limited to text, vocal and acting work. Each session is tailored to the singer.
Who can apply?
Observers: All are welcome! This is a free wkshp but registration is still required.
Participants: Opera singers who have completed a BMUS. There is no age limit.
If you are a recent graduate, we ask that you speak with your teacher first and make sure they are aware of your application. It is very important to talk to your teacher about what you are applying/auditioning for, especially at this stage in your development.
What will you need?
Participants,
Please prepare 2 contrasting Opera arias - you may only have time to work on one
Sheet music + translations of your arias for the workshop leaders
You may record your own session for personal use
Notebook + pen
